True to You

If anyone knows a bit about where I live, Fishers, they know it’s not the most agricultural forward town. 4 starbucks are within 10 minutes of my house, most people couldn’t tell you what a combine is, and there’s over 3,000 kids at my school—and i’m one of very very few who chooses to dress with a more western/livestock style and is actively engaged in the ag industry.

While this has caused some moments of feeling ostracized or weird, It’s led to many opportunities for me to teach other people about the joy and impact of the agriculture industry and has allowed me to build up my confidence!

I am a huge believer in staying true to you! If you want to dress in a certain aesthetic, participate in a sport, club, or other activity, or try something new—do it!! Life is too short to worry about what other people think and to not be yourself. Your authenticity will always shine and will inspire other people to be themselves, too! DV, i want to get to know the real you and other people do too, shine your light and always be true to you :)
