The Finish Line

The race is not finished when you see the finish line, but when you cross it. As we approach our finish lines, let's not forget why we started. For me, I joined FFA to learn, to make friends, and to lead. As we wish our seniors goodbye, let’s encourage them as they pursue their next finish line, and their newest dreams. Our seniors make us realize why we’re here. As graduation is only a few weeks away, and we are all preparing for the State Convention and our respective banquets, take time to reflect on how far you have come, and those who have helped you to be who you are today. When you do so, thank your advisor, they don't get that enough. Thank your coaches, your principles, and your janitors. Thank the people that work to help propel you to your success, while remaining unseen. Thank the unthanked. Help the unhelped, and lift up the downcast. Soon, you too will be in a position like the seniors were. You have options. You can tune out those who help you, or you can lift them up to be finally recognized for their truly amazing influence. The choice is yours.
