The Arrowhead

Recently, while walking through my property, I crossed the creek, mid-stream I chanced to glance down and a red stone caught my eye. Upon further investigation, it turned out to be an arrowhead. This finding instigated a train of thought, “If this small piece of an entire culture is all that is physically left in this area, what mark can I leave when I am gone?" This question has remained with me whenever I am working with others. It pushes me to perform at my best, to give my all, and to leave no regrets. When I’m gone, will I leave behind more than an arrowhead-sized mark? Will I leave a legacy that embodies what I stood for? But more importantly, what will you leave behind, a legacy worth envy, or one ridden with your downfalls? The choice is yours, choose wisely.
