Spring Forward

While at track practice yesterday, I was missing an hour of sleep, so I decided to lie on the grass to soak up as much sun as possible. As I lay there, I reflected on how long it had been since I last enjoyed soaking up the sun; it felt like an eternity. I realized just how much I had missed spring and all the sunshine it brings.

As we think about spring, we are reminded of the various seasons of life we experience. Some individuals are on the verge of starting new chapters with graduation approaching, while many of us find ourselves stuck in our current season.

Each season brings its own mix of challenges and joys. Spring, for instance, ushers in new life and blooming flowers, but it also brings its share of rain. Summer offers sunshine, yet it can also lead to sunburn. It’s clear that while the rain may seem inconvenient at the moment, reflecting on the flowers that a season brings reminds us of the essential role that rain plays in growth.

Hardships accompany us at every stage of life. Let’s learn to dance in the rain, because we can always anticipate the flowers!
