Happy (almost) Thanksgiving! This is always one of my absolute favorite holidays because it’s all about showing gratitude for those around you and the opportunities you have. This holiday is about coming together with the people that you are truly thankful to have in your life. This thanksgiving season, take time to personally tell those you love that you are thankful for them. I encourage you to even take it one step further by telling them not just that you are thankful for them, but tell them WHY. Tell them specifically what you are so thankful for.
This past weekend, my cheer team got together for a thanksgiving meal and we all shared why we were thankful for each other and to be on the team. We didn’t give generic or default answers of “I’m thankful for all of you” or “I’m thankful for my friends and family.” We dug deep and told each other why we meant a lot to one another. This made it so much more meaningful, and it all started by giving our why. It helped us grow closer as a team and find a newfound appreciation for each other. We walked out of the dining room with full cups and full hearts with newfound appreciation for our team and having the opportunity to cheer together.
District V, I am so thankful for each and every one of you that I have been able to connect with during my time as an officer. I’m thankful that I have the opportunity to serve this incredible district and share my passion for FFA. Embrace the start of this holiday season by reminding those around you WHY you are so thankful for them!
